Quality Cables and Reliable Performance
Cables are High Efficiency providing a smoother cable action, longer life and reduced lever effort. They feature a nylon coated inner wire and are pre-lubed with a silicone. All Metric Cruiser cables come standard with a High Efficiency inner wire and all control cables feature longitudinally wound casing with stainless steel wire rope to eliminate flex and offer smooth, reliable performance, and long life. All elbows and hardware are polished and chrome plated where applicable.
Here’s the proper way to fit up new bars & measure for extended cables:
First select and purchase your new handlebars. Once in hand mount the bars into the risers, leaving all of the stock cables and brake-lines connected on the lower end. With the bars in position you will easily be able to measure how much additional or less cable length will be need.. Once determined you provide us with the measurements as need stock + added length, or stock – lessened length. (EXAMPLE: Stock + 3″ or Stock – 3″) We will then custom make you new cables in either black or stainless steel to your specified lengths.
